Tonight I will introduce Project 4, which is an exploration of how to use type as illustration. This is another two-part project allowing students to research, then create a unique illustration with a focus on type. We will look at the “glyphs” tool and review how to convert type into editable images. We will look at using contrast in scale and color to alter hierarchy on the page.
